Seminar on Tourism in Protected Areas



The Center for Protected Area Management at Colorado State University (CSU) announces its II Mobile Seminar on Tourism in Protected Areas.

The Center for Protected Area Management at Colorado State University (CSU) announces its second Mobile Seminar on Tourism in Protected Areas. The 16 day event, in English, will be held from 10-25 September 2014 in the western USA, and will provide course participants with exposure to many different aspects of planning and managing tourism in protected areas. 

The seminar is designed for individuals involved in efforts to use tourism and outdoor recreation in protected areas; and will review how tourism in protected areas can help create public support for conservation, contribute to public health, fund protected area management, and provide economic benefits to local communities and national economies. 

The seminar cost is $5000, which includes all ground transportation, food, lodging and tuition costs, but excludes international airfare, visas and passport fees. Colorado State University will be accepting applications through the end of June 2014.
